EVENTS
Well, here we are 2 weeks to go for the 17th BBM&L Inflation Day – how time has flown by since the initial planning started back in September! We are on track – the scene is set, and Pidley is ready for another great ballooning event! The entries are coming in (some real gems already promised) and the Museum has prepared nearly 20 balloons from the collection for possible inflation – the weather will obviously dictate which ones actually come out of the bags on the day, remembering the age of the balloons and their vulnerability, but will do our best – we have received a number of requests, some of which will be on the trailer coming to the inflation area!
As ever we are extremely grateful to David Hopkins for hosting the event once again, so please respect any instructions on the day as to where to go and where to park! As an added attraction, David’s local Rolls Royce Car Club are coming along to join us on the day! A burger van has been booked for the event so the scene is set!
Briefing will be at 08:30, cash on the gate please, a copy of the original balloon registration form to be presented on entry - complete balloon kit gets pilot plus 2 at no charge (others charged at £5), envelope only one free entry, BBM&L Friends and LAASi members £5 each (proof of current membership required on the gate), all others making a donation of £10 please!
Don’t forget the event representative balloon pin is available at £5 – they are collectors pieces now!
We look forwarded to welcoming many of you on the day and hopefully plenty of balloons to view!
