• Air Travelers: Science Background - Four science lessons involving balloons that explore buoyancy, hot air, helium, and wind directions. Additional teacher background also offered.

• Flights of Imagination Education Curriculum - School-based program that brings enriching educational experiences to elementary students in Maine. Includes a complete two-week syllabus for use in elementary classrooms. The curriculum includes a classroom lecture with a question and answer period, presented by a FAA certified hot air balloon pilot, and an on site demonstration of a hot air balloon that will include a tether operation if weather allows.

• Into Thin Air - High Altitude Experimental Balloons for Education - A few of us got inspired to launch some experimental high-altitude balloons. There are several groups around the country doing this but none nearby. So we started collecting materials to start our own group. Includes details of each launch, instruments carried, and results. • Map Adventures - USGS Lesson Plan - Lessons center on a story about a little girl who visits an amusement park. Nikki goes up in an unplanned balloon ride that gives her, and the students, different views of the park. This teaching packet is appropriate for grades K-3.
